Jodi Hikuroa, Coachforce Netball Officer at Sport  Taranaki is the person to contact regarding the development of Junior and Centre based umpires and Bench Officials and volunteers throughout Taranaki. 

Umpires:  Jodi is able to organise similar umpiring programmes as we have done in the past.  This includes Umpiring in Schools Programme to all Taranaki High Schools, which runs for 6 to 8 weeks, as we are trying to grow our base of umpires.  At the end of this programme we hope to have many young umpires who have achieved their Junior Umpires Badge and are ready to take the next step on the Pathway for Umpires.

There is also opportunity to run a 4 Week Block Course for players, coaches, umpires and any interested parties.  This programme is based on the rules of the game in a fun and exciting way.  
 
Netball Taranaki also has a Centre Umpires Panel - these people are based in all the Taranaki satellites and work with and coach umpires of all ages who are wishing to improve and move onto the next step of umpiring.  To be coached you need to be a member of the Centre Umpires Group - forms available from the Office - a charge of $15.00 for Students and $20.00 for adults.
 
Bench Officials : The training for senior bench officials is held on our premier nights by Rose King who is a NNZ National Accredited Bench Official.  Rose is looking at running a junior bench officials programme on Saturdays at the NP satellite for any interested juniors.  Please contact the office if you would be interested in becoming a bench official.

There are Pathways for both umpires and bench officials to reach the top in Netball.  Come along and join our wonderful group of people, for some fun and exciting times.
