Aotea will be holding musters and trials for teams to represent the Aotea Waka at the annual Aotearoa Maori Netball Oranga Healthy Lifestyle Tournament being held in Rotorua from the 6th to 8th of April 2012.
There are 5 teams - Under 13s, Under 15s, Under 17s, Under 19s and Premier. Players must be under the stipulated age as at 1 January 2012 e.g. to be eligible to play Under 13s you must be under 13 as at 1 Jan 2012. If you are already 13 years of age as at 1 Jan 2012, you must trial for the Under 15 team, and so on through the age groups.
To be eligible to trial and play for an Aotea team you must:
* be able to whakapapa to an iwi Maori o Aotearoa
* (if selected) be able to attend scheduled trainings and attend a noho marae
